The details
This job requires a high level of attention to detail as you will be responsible for helping to prepare international camp staff program participants with a variety of support services as they prepare for their work and travel experience to Canada. The person hired for this role will work closely with Camp Director’s to answer their questions and ensure all client accounts are set up correctly with their required documentation. In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing multiple inboxes and being the first point of contact for any queries regarding the Camp Canada programs, internally and externally. The programs consist of work and travel experiences in Canada in which the participant will work in different roles at summer camp.

The responsibilities
Job responsibilities
- Play a lead role in documentation flow for participants and ensure all stages of the application are efficiently set up for the participant once placed at a camp
- Take the lead on the sales calls for all participants coming through the Camp Canada programs for the 2024-2025 season
- Notify applicants of results of selection process
- Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
- Assist with the recruitment of qualified candidates and help create strategies to keep them engaged before their travels
- Maintain necessary information and documentation for the program in our CRM platform
- Advise employees on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of employment as well as documentation needed to travel to Canada and commence employment
- Assist the different programs offered to help camps deliver a smooth arrival process for their international staff and resolve issues that may rise
- Ensure camps’ accounts are set up correctly in our CRM with the correct documentation.
- Assist with moving our international participants through the necessary stages in our CRM system
- Assist with verifying documents submitted to our CRM.
- Ensuring all participant files are complete and all necessary documentation is present in preparation for their arrival in Canada
- Use metrics and/or reports to guide your work and ensure the process is flowing efficiently to avoid any bottlenecks by utilizing our online CRM tool
- Keep up with any relevant government policy changes and review the Government of Canada’s websites, and/or travel regulations to see how they may impact the programs offered
- Update guides and templates regarding government compliance related matters, and support with planning and administering training on the process for Country Offices, ensuring compliance with the Canadian government’s policies and guidelines.
- Create and implement strategies to resolve any issues that may arise when the participants arrive in Canada.
- Play a lead role within our programs to support all participants through the administrative process and ensure a smooth arrival in Canada.
- Respond to participant questions around their applications and share this knowledge with relevant team members to assist with these queries
Essential experience
- A minimum of 1 year experience working closely with international employees who require various support services in order to ensure a successful work and travel experience to Canada.
- Experience working in a senior role at a camp or within the outdoor industry is essential with a minimum of 3 years experience in either of these areas
- Experience traveling and/or working abroad
- Minimum undergraduate degree or equivalent
Other requirements
- Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or legally able to work in Canada.
- Expected to work in the Camp Canada Office in Toronto 3 days per week.

- Hanover software or similar staffing agency online software
- Ability to support over 400 client accounts
